George Zamary was born and raised in Youngstown, Ohio. He graduated from Ohio University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1995. He obtained his law degree from Capital University Law School in 1998.
Upon completing law school in 1998, he moved to Cincinnati and began his legal career clerking for the Honorable Arthur M. Ney, Jr. of the Hamilton County Court of Common Pleas. George then went to work as an Associate with Rendigs, Fry, Kiely & Dennis, LLP. His area of expertise was civil defense litigation with particular emphasis on construction matters.
In 2005, George was recognized by Law and Politics Magazine as a Rising Star, Ohio Super Lawyer. In this same year, George ran the 2005 Flying Pig Marathon with Team In Training while raising money for the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society. In 2007, he was selected to participate in the Cincinnati Academy of Leadership for Lawyers (CALL Class XI). He has also been active with the Pro-Kids Run for Kids, sponsored by the Cincinnati Bar Association.
George joined the law firm of Buckley King, LPA in 2006 where he was a senior associate practicing in the General Litigation Group. In 2009, he become a Partner with The Drew Law Firm Co., LPA. He represented clients in state and federal court in the areas of business/corporate law and litigation, construction litigation, estate planning and labor/employment law. Prior to starting the Zamary Law Firm, George practiced at Buechner, Haffer, Meyers and Koenig Co., LPA.
In starting his own firm, Mr. Zamary explains:
I wanted to start a firm where we provide high quality, personalized legal services while building long-term relationships with our clients. I want our clients to feel like they can pick-up the phone and call us at any time and know they can depend on us to be there for them not just see them as minute hands ticking away on a clock. We want to thoroughly understand our client’s business or needs from beginning to end and help them plan for their dreams. Our goal is to become an integral part of our client’s business or that much needed advocate for a personal issue. We combine common sense approach to achieve practical results.
The disposition to help others improve their situation lead George to become very involved with Cincinnati organizations like the Fine Arts Fund’s Business Volunteers for the Arts program. Through this program he began working with the Know Theatre of Cincinnati where he participated on the theater’s Fundraising Committee and was active in the selection of the theater’s new location at 1120 Jackson Street in Over-the-Rhine. His energetic involvement and solid contributions led The Know Theatre’s Board to select him as President of its Board of Directors in 2006. In May 2007, he was honored to be elected to a second term as President.
George served on the Steering Committee of The Urbanists, a grassroots organization of concerned citizens who share his vision of a revitalized Cincinnati. In 2004, George was selected to serve as the leader of The Urbanists where he formed lasting ties with civic, political and community leaders throughout the city. During this time he facilitated presentations concerning redevelopment of Fountain Square and Over-The-Rhine.
George has also been active with the Cincinnati Art Museum’s Taste of Duveneck Committee, the Taft Museum of Art and the Mercantile Library’s Niehoff Lecture XX Committee.
George represents businesses and families with issues involving their businesses, family and personal affairs. By working with our clients in all three of these areas, we are able to fully take care of our client’s needs and help them plan for the future
